Side by Side Walking with God

In this fascinating book Rabbi Royale Schonbrun examines the unique love-based relationship between Bnei Yisroel and their Creator. Struggling to find meaning into his own personal adversity when his son was born with a life-threatening condition, he vowed to try to impart to people how to view suffering and how it can be used as a tool to become closer to G-d. This book is the fulfillment of his promise.

A musmach of Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim in New York, Rabbi Schonbrun resides with his family in the Har Nof neighborhood in Jerusalem, works as a CPA during the day, and gives Torah shiurim in his spare time.

"Rabbi Schonbrun has provided the community with a comprehensive discussion of yissurim - suffering and the manner in which to utilize them in creating a closer relationship with the Almighty. He discusses the Torah philosophy of the purpose of suffering. He also offers practical advice as how to implement that philosophy into one's life, for the sake of spiritual growth. I have found this book to be informative and inspiring, comprising a true Torah outlook I recommend this book to those who want to acquire an understanding of yissurim and to be guided to utilize them properly.                                   Rabbi Zev Leff
